Plans for new homes in Norwich revealed

Detailed plans regarding the construction of new homes in and around Norwich have been released by the Greater Norwich Development Partnership (GNDP). 

The report, which is likely to be of interest to all letting agents in Norwich, indicates the locations and estimated completion dates for all the new properties planned in the region. 

It has emerged that the Three Score site being developed in Bowthorpe will be one of the main sites of construction over the next few years.

According to edp24.co.uk, forty homes should be available to buy or rent by the end of the year, whilst there are plans to have 345 more properties built by 2017.

There are still plans for a host of properties to be built on St. Anne's Wharf as well. The report has targeted a total of 90 new homes in the area by 2014 and 357 by 2017. This is despite the area's developers going into administration last year. 76 new homes are also planned for the city's Greyhound opening site.

Of course, whether these targets are actually met is an entirely different matter.

Eveningnews24.co.uk recently revealed that the almost 10,000 planned homes in and around Norwich have remained unbuilt due to the nature of the current economic climate.

For this reason, the GNDP admit that it is currently behind schedule in its aim to build 37,000 new homes in the Norwich area by 2027.
