About Norwich & Norfolk
The Royal County of Norfolk and City of Norwich

This principal East Anglian city boast not one but two Cathedrals and is steeped in historical interest. With direct trunk road links to London, the Midlands and the North; East Coast ferry terminals to Europe; main line rail services to London and, to top all this, an International Regional aiport, it’s no wonder that major companies want to be here!

Norwich has attracted chief employers to this region including Norwich Union, Colmans Foods, Virgin Financial Services, Lotus Engineering, Aventis Ago Chemicals, HM Stationery Office and Bernard Matthews Foods. There is an excellent range of schools and opportunities for further education and of course, Norwich is the home of the University of East Anglia.

Being a growth area for employment, industry, housing with low levels of crime and violence, it is truly a gem of the East indeed.

However, it is not all work and no play; this city offers attractions for all age groups with all interests. If it’s bracing sea air you’re looking for, then you can be at the coast within half an hour and have Tourist Information to lead you to the famous Norfolk Broads within twenty minutes.

There are many areas of outstanding natural beauty all around the coastline, particularly in the North of the region where there are bird sanctuaries and reserves. For those with interests of an altogether more noisy nature, the City centre caters for all tastes in entertainment buzzing at it does with live music venues, pubs, bars, countless clubs and several Theatres, the principal being the Theatre Royal.

When you move to Norwich with JSM, you will find yourselves spoilt for choice. You may opt for the peace and quiet of the nearby countryside for your home with only twenty minutes commuting time to the City centre, or you may choose to be at the hub of life within the City itself.
