Boost for Suffolk job creation in the pipeline

There could be a boost in job creation for the Suffolk and Norfolk areas, thanks to the development of two power stations in the coming ten years.
According to a report released by Construction Skills (the training board for the industry), these stations could create some 6,000 new roles throughout the entire East England region, Pennenergy.com revealed.
The job creation could also prove positive for professionals already living in the area, like letting agents. Lowestoft, Ipswich and a host of other areas could soon be home to those moving into these jobs, so Suffolk's letting specialists could find themselves with an upsurge in demand.
According to Eveningnews24.co.uk, the power stations could even help the entire construction industry its "pre-recession levels" by as soon as 2020.
A spokesperson for EDF - which is responsible for one of the power stations - seemed excited about the news. They confirmed: "A new nuclear station in Suffolk would bring a welcome boost to the local and regional economy and support employment, skills,
economic and wider community benefits to Suffolk as a whole.
"We will work closely with the relevant authorities and chambers of commerce to ensure that maximum local benefit is achieved from the...training opportunities for the long-term development of
skills."
