The city has always been known as a place of excellent architecture with buildings such as The Cathedral, the Castle, the Royal Arcade, the University of East Anglia and The Forum being excellent examples of this

Recent major developments within the city include the £275m Chapelfield Shopping development, the £229m Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and the 42-acre Riverside leisure, retail and residential development. Norwich has regularly been rated within the top ten shopping venues in the UK and is a founding member of the Cultural Cities Network

The city is encircled by stunningly dramatic countryside but is within easy reach of the coast. Many differing people visit this part of the world all year round to enjoy boating on the broads, the protected nature and wildlife habitats as well as enjoying the different traditions that are associated with a British Seaside town

Norwich is known as the capital of East Anglia, and as a cultural centre it is firmly on the map. Recent research has shown that Norwich has more cultural activity than anywhere in the UK relative to its size making it the ideal place to call home. It also has a whole host of Theatres, Cinemas and open parklands for everyone to enjoy

Norwich market is one of the oldest in the country and is unique within Britain, with its Saxon origins it encompasses nearly 200 stalls and is the largest Monday - Saturday open market in the country. The market its self is in-fact much older then any of the buildings that surround it.

Transport

Norwich sits along the A47 which is a direct link with Great Yarmouth to the east and Kings Lynn to the West. This is also a direct link with Peterborough. Norwich also has a direct route to Cambridge via the A11, which carries on to the M11 taking you to London and the M25.

Norwich railway station is also placed to the east of the city and forms the northern terminal for the Great Eastern Line, offering half hourly services to London's Liverpool Street station, and hourly services to London's Liverpool Street.
